The WTS and blood transfusions. Part 1. Please criticise!!

the following is part of a letter written to my sister (last remaining family still a jw) who needed surgery.

i hoped this would be an opportune time to raise the error of misinterpreting the handful of verses that they use to justify wanton suicide.

if you can think of any arguments that she may present in an effort to rebuff the points made then please comment.. .

A question for those who still believe.

the first step to putting right the sin of adam was for christ to come to the earth to sacrifice his life, preach the gospel of the kingdom and the command to his disciples to preach and attempt to convert the world.. the second step will be or has been christs second coming.. as it is a priority to put right the wrongs of adam and to convert the world of mankind then the sooner the first step is implemented the greater the chance of achieving the desired result as the human population was still relatively small the further back in time so why did god take .

four thousand human years.

to implement just the first step?

"who out there has that quote from the wt about how since the catholic church claims to be the way of salvation for millions of people that they should be ready to, essentially, debate the issue, defend their position?

if it's right for the catholic church, then it's even more right for the wtb&ts, who claims to speak directly for god!

how is it that when searching for jehovahs witnesses or watchtower in google their official websites always comes first?.

do they have to pay to get these results?

if they are paying then is this not another example of hypocrisy after telling the "sheep" not to use the internet but then spending the "sheeps" donations on maintaining an internet presence?.

How do you now interpret the Lords Prayer?

for those of you that have survived and come through the great tribulation of having been a member of the wts and still have a faith in god, how do you now interpret the lords prayer?.

just what do you think jesus meant when he said "thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"?.

does anyone remember these golden oldies?.

president kennedy was assassinated because he was a good man, "he didnt fit satans book", this was the societys view according to those who had inside information.

i'm not sure how long that view persisted, probably until the first tv documentary on his life.. the berlin wall fell because jehovah decided it was now time to open up the work behind the iron curtain.

can anyone help me in finding any statements made by the wtbs in any of their publications to confirm this change or even just the original news release which i understand was on their official website but i now can't find any reference to it.. is this a case of having one policy for public consumption to improve their public image but the another policy for internal consumption to give the impression that things hav'nt changed?.

it appears that the majority of jw do not know of the change in policy.

sorry if this has been discussed before, but can anyone tell me what the current wtbs view of suicide is?

it used to that they would suffer the second death and therefore would not be resurrected.

hows that for christian love.
